About the Storyteller

A storyteller who moves fluidly among film, writing, education, and emerging media, Suzy Evans’ journey began in special effects makeup on the sets of Batman and Frankenstein Unbound before evolving into award-winning director and screenwriter. Her short film “Swindles & Slim” garnered international recognition, screening at prestigious festivals from Clermont-Ferrand to Edinburgh and earning a BAFTA shortlist nomination.

After earning her MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University on full scholarship, Suzy channeled her creative vision into groundbreaking digital content at JWT New York. As Creative Director of The Nursery.TV, she pioneered entertainment properties that caught the attention of Comedy Central and Sundance Channel. Her innovative work spans animation, music videos, and transmedia storytelling.

Suzy shapes the next generation of visual storytellers as an IB Film examiner and educator. Her students’ films have competed successfully against university-level work in open festivals, while her own creative projects continue to push boundaries across platforms.

Today, Suzy is focused on writing sci fi and fantasy novels.
